Camps for 3-5 year-olds

Minimum 4; Maximum 10
Cost per camper: $40/members or $45/non members

Wee Ones Art-astic!

Explore the world of visual art, learn about different cultures, and create your own masterpieces.
Dates: July 8th -12th,
Times: 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. OR 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Wee Ones Habitats

Investigate animals, their habitats and how they survive the wild through role playing and art projects.
Dates: July 29th - August 2nd,
Times: 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.

Wee Ones Enchantment

Play with science, art and history from famous magical books. Prepare for messy fun and magical stories.
Dates: August 12th - 16th,
Times: 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Star-Spangled Soldiers

Go back in time and relive the lives of soldiers and citizens from the American Revolution all the way to World War II. Play the role of a soldier, create patriotic symbols, live like a patriot and discover Hampton Roads' part in history.

Explorers Time Travel 1

Budding artists are submerged into early art styles. Create your own version of stained glass and paint on a pretend ceiling. You will see yourself in a whole new way. Discover the trends in art and artists who stand out from the time of changes.

Ancient Worlds

Unfold the mysteries of the past by learning about early writings, discovering traditions, and exploring ancient cultures. Dates: August 5th – 9th,
Times: 9:00 a.m. – Noon

Art Explorers Time Travel 2

Travel back a few hundred years to meet the artists and discover the styles and events that shaped history. Projects will include using cotton swabs, marbles and random shapes to recreate famous works of art.

Art Voyagers Time Travel 1

Artists are submerged into early styles using gold leafing, stained glass, and clay. Discover the trends in art and artists who stand out from the time of changes. Location: Portsmouth Art & Cultural Center

Crack the Code

Investigate the world through the eyes of spies. Learn forensic science and extract DNA, crack secret codes and invisible inks, and use your knowledge to crack a case at the Children's Museum.
Dates: July 8th – 12th,
Times: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Engineering the Future

Solve puzzles, open up the inner workings of common objects, build a crazy contraption, and examine airplane designs in this "entry-level" engineering camp. Dates: July 15th – 19th

Enchanted Exploration

Uncover science, art and history in famous magical literature. Make chemical potions, find out about magical wildlife and local wildlife, recognize famous witches, wizards and other creatures, and learn the magic behind Science Fiction films.
Dates: July 22nd – 26th

Art Voyagers Time Travel 2

Travel back a few hundred years to meet the artists and discover the styles and events that shaped history. Projects will include sculpture, painting and photography.
